This is by far our most popular ride. It is great for all ages and abilities, and riders up to 260 pounds. We will walk, trot, and canter on this ride if rider's ability permits. The check-in times are at
9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, or 2:00 PM.

1.5 Hour Trail Ride
This is a more advanced ride that is open to children 8 years and older, riders up to 220 pounds, and to those who have a good bit of riding experience. This is a faster paced ride that takes some additional trails that allow for longer cantering stretches on the horses. No beginner riders please. The check-in time for this ride is at
8:45 AM only, when the horses are at their freshest and the weather is coolest.

2 Hour Trail Ride
This is our most advanced ride. It is a fast paced ride, with long catering stretches and also covers challenging terrain. Experienced riders under 220 pounds only. Children must be over 8 years old and have had riding lessons. Absolutely no beginners. We can only ride up to the level of the least experienced rider so one timid rider will hold back the ride for all the other advanced riders. This ride is offered at 8:45 AM only, when the horses are at their freshest and the weather is coolest.

Wagon Rides and Fireside Dinner
Campfire at Blanche Manor
Campfires, roasted marshmallows,
live music - what could make a better family outing?

$25 ... 1.5 hour wagon ride, dinner, and entertainment for adults and children 8 and over

$15 ... 1.5 hour wagon ride, dinner, and entertainment for children 4-7

$5 ... 1.5 hour wagon ride, dinner, and entertainment for children 0-3.

Our wagon rides take place at Mountain View Apple Orchard (2984 Mobile Road, McCaysville, GA 30555), just 2 miles from our ranch. The evening begins with a 30 minute wagon ride through a working apple orchard, followed by a fireside dinner where a local musician brings a taste of the mountains and our local culture to your family. The dinner at the campfire consists of homemade chili, cornbread, and dessert. There are also hot dogs and marshmallows for roasting. The beverages are soda, tea, and water. After dinner you can try your hand at a game of horse shoes next to the fire, as the musician strums his local melodies. The entire evening lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes. The hay rides are most desirable March-November. The majority of the hay rides will be drawn by the orchard tractor. This allows bigger families to ride together, as the horse pulled wagon can only take about 6-8 people at a time. When the tractor is used we will bring a horse for those wanting some interaction with our four legged friends during the fireside dinner. This system actually allows more horse interaction than the team of horses that pulled the wagon, as they were bathed and rested while the campfire and dinner was in progress.

This activity is great for a family that has members that cannot ride horses, or large groups who want to enjoy a campfire dinner with their family. We need a minimum of 8 adults, or a $200 minimum to have a wagon ride. If you do not have enough people, you can request a wagon ride, and we will try to combine you with another group. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THE FARM FOR THE WAGON RIDE. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS ON THE WEB SITE TO THE FARM BUT ONLY GO 3.0 MILES ON TENNESSEE AVENUE, AND MOUNTAIN VIEW APPLE ORCHARDS/CIDER HOUSE CAFE WILL BE ON YOU RIGHT. The physical address is 2984 Mobile Road, McCaysville, GA 30555.

Wagon rides must be paid in full at time of booking.  Credit card will be run through the Cider House Cafe.  If there is severe weather, the dinner and music portion of the wagon ride will be held inside the cafe, and 50% of the amount collected will be refunded at that time. The price listed does not include state sales tax.  Price for cash or credit is the same, since there is not an opportunity to pay in cash for this event.
